Welcome to The Joyful Programmer's MediaWiki site.

This MediaWiki site is another tool to provide information on programming languages to The Joyful Programmer community.

The community is welcome to contribute content on this platform, especially for the programming languages they have created.

Contributing and Collaborating

If you are interested in contributing/collaborating to this wiki, contact me on any of the forums, the Discord chat rooms, or Facebook. This helps prevent spamming and abuse.

Contributor Tools:

Unlike a wide variety of community wikis, we offer powerful tools to help provide a better wiki experience for contributors and visitors alike. Here is a list of some of the features contributors have access to on this wiki:

• VISUAL EDITOR: Creating Wiki pages is now much easier. The visual editor allows you to create WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) content without knowing the Wiki Markup language upfront. For those familiar with Wiki Markup, you can toggle between visual and source code editing to add more Wiki features.
• SOURCE CODE BLOCKS WITH SYNTAX HIGHLIGHTING: Captivate visitors with visually stunning source code blocks.
• VIDEOS: Enhance content with videos from places like YouTube and Google.
• IMAGES: Like Wikipedia, contributors can upload and insert images into content to provide a better visual experience to visitors.
• PDF DOCUMENTS: Contributors can upload and insert PDF documents that visitors can view online, and/or download for offline viewing and sharing.
• CITING SOURCES: This Wiki provides a powerful citation system to help give credit to other people whose words and ideas are used, which helps prevent plagiarism. Citations do provide more sources as well for visitors to learn from.

Non-Content Contributions:

Wiki users can also contribute without writing or modifying content. MediaWiki offers discussion pages for each, individual content page on the Wiki. Do you have a suggestion about the content of a specific page? Then let's discuss it!

Wiki Features

The Joyful Programmer's Wiki also offers powerful features to visitors, such as:

• MOBILE-FRIENDLY CONTENT: Visitors can view the content of the Wiki on multiple devices, including mobile phones.
• LANGUAGE TRANSLATION: While all content is written in English for reaching the widest audience, thanks to Google Translate, visitors can easily translate the content they are viewing to their native language.
• CITE A PAGE: All visitors and users/contributors can easily get citations for a Wiki page in most common citation formats. This will allow them to add the citation to their sites or other forms of documentation.
